Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada kurangnya penerapan keterampilan keselamatan kerja oleh nelayan, meskipun telah mengikuti Diklat Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Basic Safety Training - Kapal Layar Motor (BST-KLM). Tujuan penelitian adalah mengevaluasi penerapan materi diklat di lapangan, terutama terkait keselamatan kerja, serta dampaknya terhadap kompetensi dan kesiapan nelayan dalam menghadapi situasi darurat saat melaut. Metode yang digunakan adalah evaluatif dengan pendekatan teori evaluasi Kirkpatrick tahap ke-3 (perilaku), untuk menganalisis perubahan perilaku alumni diklat. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah nakhoda kapal dan Nelayan Perikanan yang telah menamatkan proses pembelajaran Diklat Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Basic Safety Training – Kapal Layar Motor (BST-KLM). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di Pelabuhan Perikanan Muara Baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diklat berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan keselamatan kerja, seperti penggunaan alat keselamatan dan tanggapan dalam situasi darurat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemantauan berkelanjutan dan penyediaan sarana pendukung untuk memastikan konsistensi penerapan keterampilan yang diajarkan dalam diklat. ***** This study focus on the lack of implementation of safety work skills by fishermen, despite having participated in the Diklat Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Basic Safety Training - Kapal Layar Motor (BST-KLM). The research aims to evaluate the application of training materials in the field, particularly regarding safety workplace, and its impact on fishermen's competence and preparedness in facing emergencies at sea. The research use descriptive method with Kirkpatrick's evaluation theory at level 3 (behavior) to analyze the behavioral changes of the training alumni. The informants in the research were the ship captain and fishermen who had completed the Community Empowerment Training for Basic Safety Training - Kapal Layar Motor (BST-KLM). The data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at the Muara Baru Fishing Port. The research reveals that the training successfully enhanced awareness and safety work skills, such as the use of safety equipment and responses during emergencies. The study concludes the importance of continuous monitoring and the provision of supporting facilities to ensure consistent application of the skills taught during the training.
