Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Teams Game Tournament (TGT) dengan bantuan game ludo terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 9 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen yang dirancang dalam bentuk Nonequevalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 9 Jakarta, dengan sampel berupa dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai keterampilan menulis sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model TGT dengan permainan ludo. Pada kelas eksperimen, nilai pretest tertinggi adalah 80 dengan nilai rata-rata 54,8, sementara nilai posttest tertinggi mencapai 97 dengan nilai rata-rata 70,33, menghasilkan selisih nilai tertinggi dari kedua tes tersebut adalah 45 dan selisih rata-rata sebesar 15,33 poin. Penggunaan model Teams Game Tournament dengan bantuan game ludo tersebut membuat pembelajaran teks berita menjadi lebih menyenangkan. Selain itu, model dan game tersebut juga dapat diimplikasikan pada teks lain terutama teks ulasan. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari α = 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05), sehingga H0 ditolak pada α = 0,05. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Teams Game Tournament (TGT) dengan bantuan permainan ludo memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 9 Jakarta. ***** This study aims to analyze the effect of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning model with the help of the ludo game on news text writing skills of class VIII students of MTs Negeri 9 Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method designed in the form of a Nonequevalent Control Group Design. The population of the study was class VIII students of MTs Negeri 9 Jakarta, with samples in the form of two classes, namely class VIII-B as the experimental class and class VIII-A as the control class. The results of the study showed a significant difference between the writing skill scores before and after the application of the TGT model with the ludo game. In the experimental class, the highest pretest score was 75 with an average score of 52, while the highest posttest score reached 97 with an average score of 70, resulting in the highest score difference of the two tests being 45 and an average difference of 18 points. The use of the model with the help of the game makes learning news texts more enjoyable. In addition, the model and game can also be implied in other texts, especially review texts. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 was obtained which is smaller than α = 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), so H0 is rejected at α = 0.05. This proves that the use of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning model with the help of the ludo game has a significant influence on the news text writing skills of class VIII students of MTs Negeri 9 Jakarta.
