Abstract

ABSTRAK Sania Hamdi, Dr. Phil. Yeni Sesnawati, S.Pd, M.T., Dra. Suryawati, M.Si. Penilaian Estetika Motif Ragam Hias Rumah Gadang Menggunakan Teknik Sulam Sashiko Sebagai Hiasan Upcycling, Skripsi, Jakarta : Program Studi Desain Mode, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2024. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh penilaian estetika motif ragam hias rumah gadang menggunakan teknik sulam sashiko pada jaket denim secondhand berdasarkan aspek estetika. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan pre-experimental design, one-shot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen angket campuran yang terdiri dari 15 pernyataan, yang diberikan kepada 5 panelis ahli untuk memberikan penilaian. Variabel yang dianalisis adalah penilaian estetika terhadap motif ragam hias rumah gadang menggunakan teknik sulam sashiko sebagai hiasan upcycling, Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 produk upcycling yang dinilai menggunakan rating scale. Penilaian ini menggunakan teori estetika yang terdiri dari aspek wujud/rupa, bobot/isi, dan penyajian/penampilan yang memperoleh nilai sebesar 87% dengan kategori sangat baik. Pada aspek wujud/rupa mendapatkan nilai 90,2% dengan kategori sangat baik. Aspek bobot/isi yang mengacu pada sumber inspirasi “The magnifincent of the minang traditional house” mendapatkan nilai 84,8% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dan aspek penyajian/penampilan mendapatkan nilai 92% dengan kategori sangat baik. Produk dengan penilaian tertinggi adalah desain 5, yang memperoleh nilai 97,6% dengan kategori sangat baik, sementara desain 2 memperoleh nilai terendah, yaitu 93%, namun tetap masuk dalam kategori sangat baik di antara kelima desain tersebut. Suryawati, M.Si.Aesthetic Evaluation of the Decorative Motifs of Rumah Gadang Using Sashiko Embroidery Technique as Upcycling Decoration Bachelor's Thesis, Jakarta: Fashion Design Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, 2024. The aim of this research is to obtain an aesthetic assessment of Rumah Gadang's decorative motifs using the sashiko embroidery technique on secondhand denim jackets based on aesthetic aspects. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative with a pre-experimental design approach, one-shot case study. The data collection technique was carried out using a mixed questionnaire instrument consisting of 15 statements, which were given to 5 expert panelists to provide assessments. The variable analyzed was the aesthetic assessment of the Rumah Gadang decorative motifs using the sashiko embroidery technique as upcycling decoration. This research produced 5 upcycling products which were assessed using a rating scale. This assessment uses aesthetic theory which consists of aspects of form/appearance, weight/content, and presentation/appearance which received a score of 87% in the very good category. In the form/appearance aspect, it got a score of 90.2% in the very good category. The weight/content aspect which refers to the source of inspiration "The magnifincent of the Minang traditional house" received a score of 84.8% in the very good category. And the presentation/appearance aspect received a score of 92% in the very good category. The product with the highest assessment is design 5, which received a score of 97.6% in the very good category, while design 2 received the lowest score, namely 93%, but is still in the very good category among the five designs.
