Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction terhadap keterampilan berbicara teks negosiasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Nonequevalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta. Dalam desain ini, terdapat dua kelas yang dijadikan sampel, yaitu kelas X6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil pemerolehan data terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction. Rentang nilai pre-test (tes awal) berbicara teks negosiasi pada siswa kelas eksperimen berada pada nilai tertinggi 65 dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 53. Rentang nilai post-test (tes akhir) berbicara teks negosiasi pada siswa kelas eksperimen tertinggi berada pada nilai 95 dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 84. Selisih rata-rata antara nilai tes awal dan tes akhir adalah sebesar 31. Pemerolehan data pada kelas eksperimen menyatakan bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05, tolak H_0 dan terima H_a jika t_hitung > t_tabel. Didapatkan hasil bahwa thitung=20,592 dan ttabel=1,667. Pengujian hipotesis tersebut menyatakan bahwa tolak H_0 dan terima H_a. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction terhadap keterampilan berbicara teks negosiasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta. ***** This study aims to determine the impact of using the Direct Instruction learning model on the speaking skills of negotiation text of class X SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta students. This research uses quantitative method. The research method used in this research is experimental method with Nonequalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students of class X SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta. In this design, there are two classes that are used as samples, namely class X6 as an experimental class and class X7 as a control class. The results of data acquisition there is a significant difference between before and after given the Direct Instruction learning model. The range of pre-test scores speaking negotiation text on experimental class students was at the highest score of 65 with an average score of 53. The range of post-test scores speaking negotiation text on the experimental class students was at the highest score of 95 with an average score of 84. The average difference between the pre-test and post-test scores is 31. The data obtained in the experimental class states that the results of hypothesis testing at the significance level α = 0.05, reject H0 and accept Ha if tcount > ttable. The results obtained were that tcount=20,592 and ttable=1,667. The hypothesis testing concluded to reject H0 and accept Ha. Thus, there is a significant effect of using the Direct Instruction learning model on speaking skills of negotiation text of class X students at SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta.
