Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model kooperatif Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen, dengan design pretest-posttest group control design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar negeri di kelurahan sawangan baru. Sampel ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan intrumen tes berupa soal essay sebanyak 8 soal dengan rubrik skor rentang 0-12 poin pada setiap soal. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan statistic inferensial, (uji-t). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar. Hal ini dibuktikan bahwa dari hasil pengujian hipotesis thitung > ttabel atau 2,0299 > 1,6769. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar. Hal ini akan membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih interaktif dan kolaboratif, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan pemecahan masalah siswa terhadap muatan pelajaran matematika. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of Think Pair Share cooperative model on mathematical problem solving ability of grade VI elementary school students. This study used a quantitative experimental method, with a pretest-posttest group control design. The samples in this study were grade VI students of public elementary schools in sawangan baru village. This sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using test instruments in the form of essay questions as many as 8 questions with a score rubric ranging from 0-12 points on each question. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential statistics, (t-test). The results showed that there was an effect of using the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of grade VI elementary school students. This is evidenced by the results of hypothesis testing tcount > ttabel or 2,0299 >1.6769. Based on the results of hypothesis testing H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect in the use of Think Pair Share cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of grade VI elementary school students. This will make learning more interactive and collaborative, which in turn will improve students problem solving in math content.
