Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian produk tas dengan teknik pemanasan pada plastik polymailer berdasarkan kualitas produk dan unsur prinsip desain. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental design, one shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 produk tas hobo dengan plastik polymailer menggunakan teknik pemanasan yang dinilai menggunakan rating scale yang diberikan kepada lima panelis ahli dari bidangnya dengan teknik pengumpulan data instrumen kuesioner/angket campuran. Penilaian yang dilakukan menggunakan teori kualitas produk menurut W.H Mayall (1979), unsur desain dan prinsip desain menurut David Lauer & Stephen Pentak (2019). Hasil penilaian berdasarkan kualitas produk, unsur desain dan prinsip desain sebesar 89,77%. Berdasarkan kualitas produk yang terdiri dari aspek kenyamanan dalam penggunaan memperoleh 95.73% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan unsur desain yang terdiri dari elemen warna mendapatkan nilai 92,00% dengan kategori sangat baik dan berdasarkan prinsip desain yang terdiri yaitu aspek harmoni mendapatkan nilai sebesar 93,06%. Produk dengan penilaian tertinggi diperoleh pada desain satu yang memperoleh nilai 93,56% dengan kategori sangat baik dan nilai terendah diperoleh pada desain tiga sebesar 86,44% dengan kategori sangat baik. ***** Nathalia Mora Patricia Siburian, Esty Nurbaity Arrsyi, S.Pd., M.KM., Dr. Wesnina, M.Sn. This research aims to obtain an assessment of bag products with heating techniques on polymailer plastic based on product quality and elements of design principles. This research method uses descriptive quantitative with preexperimental design, one shot case study. This research produced 5 hobo bag products with polymailer plastic using heating techniques that were assessed using a rating scale given to five expert panelists from their fields with a mixed questionnaire / questionnaire instrument data collection technique. The assessment was carried out using the theory of product quality according to W.H Mayall (1979), design elements and design principles according to David Lauer & Stephen Pentak (2019). The assessment results based on product quality, design elements and design principles amounted to 89.77%. Based on product quality consisting of aspects of comfort in use, it obtained 95.73% in the very good category. Based on the design elements consisting of color elements, the value is 92.00% with a very good category and based on design principles consisting of harmony aspects, the value is 93.06%. The product with the highest assessment was obtained in design one which obtained a score of 93.56% in the very good category and the lowest score was obtained in design three of 86.44% in the very good category.
