Abstract

This study aims to design an adaptive and sustainable quality culture innovation model by emphasizing active stakeholder participation in enhancing the school's competitive advantage. A mixed-method approach with a sequential exploratory strategy was employed to obtain comprehensive data. An ethnographic study was conducted at SMAIT Ummul Quro' in Bogor and SMAIT Nurul Ilmi in Jambi to explore the dynamics of sustainable innovation in quality culture. Subsequently, the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method was used to examine the relationships between identified variables. The findings indicate that local adaptation is a key factor in achieving quality education by integrating Islamic curriculum standards with modern education. Innovation through quality culture-based management and stakeholder participation significantly contributes to the school's competitive advantage, supported by five main aspects: school reputation, high-quality facilities, excellent teaching, participatory extracurricular activities, and stakeholder satisfaction. Collaboration between stakeholders and visionary leadership in both schools fosters educational innovations that align with community expectations. The SEN-SQIM Models developed in this study offers an adaptive solution for educational institutions to create sustainable innovations through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach and stakeholder participation. Competitive advantage is achieved through a quality culture encompassing learning quality (0.593), services (0.405), and facilities (0.716), which strengthens institutional reputation. This model can be applied across various types of schools and supports relevant and competitive education at different levels. The findings affirm that sustainable innovation in quality culture can only be achieved through the active involvement of all stakeholders in continuous planning, implementation, and evaluation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model inovasi budaya mutu yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan dengan menekankan partisipasi aktif stakeholder dalam meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif sekolah. Pendekatan mixed method dengan strategi eksploratori sekuensial digunakan untuk memperoleh data yang komprehensif. Studi etnografi dilakukan di SMAIT Ummul Quro' Kota Bogor dan SMAIT Nurul Ilmi Kota Jambi untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika budaya mutu berbasis inovasi berkelanjutan. Selanjutnya, metode Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) digunakan untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel yang teridentifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi lokal menjadi faktor kunci dalam mencapai pendidikan berkualitas dengan memadukan kurikulum keislaman dan standar modern. Inovasi melalui manajemen berbasis budaya mutu dan partisipasi stakeholder berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap keunggulan kompetitif sekolah, yang didukung oleh lima aspek utama: reputasi sekolah, fasilitas berkualitas, pengajaran unggul, ekstrakurikuler partisipatif, dan kepuasan stakeholder. Kolaborasi antara stakeholder dan kepemimpinan visioner di kedua sekolah menciptakan inovasi pendidikan yang relevan dengan harapan masyarakat. Model SEN-SQIM yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini menawarkan solusi adaptif bagi institusi pendidikan dalam menciptakan inovasi berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) dan partisipasi stakeholder. Keunggulan kompetitif sekolah tercapai melalui budaya mutu yang mencakup kualitas pembelajaran (0.593), pelayanan (0.405), dan fasilitas (0.716), yang memperkuat reputasi institusi. Model ini dapat diterapkan pada berbagai jenis sekolah dan mendukung pendidikan yang relevan dan kompetitif di berbagai skala. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa inovasi berkelanjutan dalam budaya mutu hanya dapat dicapai melalui keterlibatan aktif seluruh pemangku kepentingan dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi secara berkelanjutan.
