Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem zonasi dalam PPDB terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 84 Jakarta. Konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep sistem zonasi dalam PPDB dan konsep motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang dilakukan melalui Google Form. Pengumpulan data, analisis, dan penulisan laporan skripsi dimulai pada bulan Agustus 2023 sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah non-probability dengan jenis purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 120 peserta didik kelas X SMAN 84 Jakarta Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 yang mendaftar dan diterima melalui jalur sistem zonasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 61 butir pernyataan melalui Google Form. Sementara, untuk pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 25 dan Microsoft Excel. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji homogenitas, uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan perspektif struktural fungsional Merton, sistem zonasi dipahami sebagai salah satu struktur sosial yang beroperasi dalam institusi pendidikan yang memiliki fungsi menjaga kestabilan sosial dan kesetaraan pendidikan dengan menyediakan akses yang lebih merata. Tetapi, di sisi lain dapat berpotensi mengalami disfungsi apabila implementasi dari sistem tersebut tidak berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara sistem zonasi dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Hal tersebut terlihat dari angka koefisien regresi sebesar 1.174 yang bernilai positif. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, sistem zonasi berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Terakhir, pada hasil uji koefisien determinasi didapatkan sebesar 0.512. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa variabel sistem zonasi berpengaruh sebesar 51,2% terhadap variabel motivasi belajar peserta didik dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. ***** This research aims to determine the effect of the zoning system in PPDB on the learning motivation of class X students at SMAN 84 Jakarta. The concepts used in this research are the concept of zoning system in PPDB and the concept of learning motivation. This research uses quantitative approach with a survey methods conducted via Google Forms. Data collection, analysis and writing of the thesis report start from August 2023 to October 2024. The sampling technique used is non-probability with purposive sampling. The sample for this research consisted of 120 class X students at SMAN 84 Jakarta in the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection process was carried out by distributing a questionnaire consisting of 61 statements via Google Forms. Data processing and analysis used SPSS on 25 application and Microsoft Excel. The data analysis techniques used in this research are homogeneity test, normality test, linearity test and simple linear regression test. Based on Merton’s functional structural perspective, the zoning system is understood as one of the social structures operating in educational institutions that has the function of maintaining social stability and educational equality by providing more equitable access. However, on the other hand, it can potentially dysfunction if the implementation of the system does not go as expected. The results of this research show that there is a positive relationships between zoning system and students’ learning motivation. This can be seen from the regression coefficient number of 1.174 which has a positive value. Finally, the test results from the coefficient of determination obtained is 0.512. these findings indicate that variable X has an effect on 51,2% of variable Y and the rest is influensced by other factors not discussed in this research.
