Abstract
Program Magang Bersertifikat Kampus Merdeka oleh Kemendikbudristek memberikan mahasiswa pengalaman dunia kerja sehingga mahasiswa memiliki kesiapan kerja. Realitanya, mahasiswa mengamali kendala dalam memahami instruksi dari mentor dan koordinasi aktivitas pengerjaan tugas sehari-hari. Hal ini yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini, dengan fokus penelitian pada bagaimana Communicative Constitution of Organization (CCO) dalam membentuk konsep diri mahasiswa Magang Bersertifikat Kampus Merdeka batch 4 di AwanTunai yang siap kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab fokus penelitian tersebut sekaligus dapat memberikan manfaat di bidang akademis dan praktis. Penelitian ini mengacu pada perspektif teoritis empat aliran Communicative Constitution of Organization (CCO) menurut McPhee & Zaug’s, yaitu membership negotiation, organizational self-structuring, activity coordination, dan institutional positioning. Tinjauan konseptual mencakup teori komunikasi organisasi menurut Griffin. Konsep diri mencakup persepsi dan keyakinan individu tentang identitas dalam konteks sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dan strategi penelitian naratif untuk mendalami pengalaman individu. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen, dengan validitas data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber serta pengkodean dengan open coding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat aliran CCO membentuk konsep diri mahasiswa magang di AwanTunai yang siap kerja. Dalam membership negotiation, komunikasi organisasi membantu mahasiswa merasa inklusif. Organizational self-structuing menunjukkan pemahaman tentang struktur dan kebijakan organisasi melalui interaksi yang diarahkan memperkuat sikap profesionalisme mahasiswa. Activity coordination mampu meningkatkan keterampilan koordinasi dan inovasi mahasiswa. Institutional positioning memberikan wawasan strategis tentang posisi AwanTunai di pasar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CCO di AwanTunai dapat membantu membentuk konsep diri mahasiswa magang yang siap kerja melalui aliran-aliran CCO. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penguatan komunikasi internal melalui proses onboarding, pendampingan mentor, dan komunikasi efektif yang mendukung keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa di AwanTunai. In reality, students face challenges in building relationships with organizations and coordinationg daily task activities. This study focuses on how to Communicative Constitution of Organization (CCO) shapes the self-concept of Kampus Merdeka Certified Internship students from Batch 4 at AwanTunai to become work-ready. The research aims to address this focus while contributing to boatch academic and practical fields. The study employs the theoreticall perspective of the four flows of CCO as proposed by McPhee & Zaug’s: membership negotiation, organizational self-structuring, activity coordination, and institutional positioning. The conceptual framework also includes organizational communication theories by Griffin. Self concept is defined as individual’s perceptions and beliefs about their identity in a social context. This research adpots a constructivist paradigm with qualitative approach and narrative strategy to explore individual experiences in depth. Data colloction was conducted through interviews, observations, and document analysis, with data validity ensured through source triangulation and analyzed using open coding. The finding reveal that four flows of CCO significantly contribute to shaping the self-concept of interns at AwanTunai, preparing them for the workforce. Membership negotiation fosters inclusivity through organizational communication. Organizational self-structuring enhances interns’ understanding of organizational structure and policies, strengthening their professionalism. Activity coordination improves coordination and innovation skills. Institutional positioning provides strategic insights into AwanTunai’statistika market position. The research concludes that implementing CCO in organizational communication effectively shapes the self-concept of work-ready interns. Recommendations include strengthening internal communication through onboarding processes, mentor guidence, and regular communication to encourage active engagement of intern at AwanTunai.
