Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data tentang Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran ARIAS (Asseurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dalam Muatan IPA Pada Siswa Kelas V, pada pokok bahasan panas dan perpindahannya, semester 2 tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Bendungam Hilir yaitu SDN Bendungan Hilir 09 Pagi, Jakarta Pusat. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 31 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 31 peserta didik pada kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berbentuk uraian bebas yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data posttest dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji t-test. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t, kedua kelompok tersebut memperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 4.42789 sedangkan t-tabel pada taraf signifikasi 0,05 dan dk = 60 adalah sebesar 1.671, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa t-hitung > t-tabel yang berarti hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara model ARIAS (Asseurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) terhadap berpikir kritis dalam muatan IPA pada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Kata kunci : ARIAS, Berpikir Kritis, Direct Instruction ABSTRACT This study aims to acquire empirical data about the influence of application of ARIAS (Asseurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) model toward the critical thinking in natural sciences studies on the fifth grade students on the subject of heat and its displacement, second semester, academic year 2019/2020. This study conducted in SDN Bendungan Hilir 09, Central Jakarta. Sample were taken using technique of simple random sampling with control group posttest design. The amount of research sample is 31 students for the experiment class and 31 for the control class. The data taken using instrument of learning test in form opened essay which have been tested its validity and its reliability. Posttest data from experiment class and control class are analyzed using test of normality, homogenity, and t-test. The data analysis used t-test, both of groups acquire value of t-test are equal 4.42789, while t-table at the level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom(dk) = 60 that is equal to 1.671. Soit can be said that by t-count> t-table which means alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the zero hyphotesis (H0) is rejected. It shows that there is a significant influence in ARIAS (Asseurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) model toward the critical thinking in natural sciences studies on the fifth grade students.
