Abstract

Ida Ayu Btari Rahma Dewi, 2025. Pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, dan Test) terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Teks Cerpen pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA Tunas Markatin. Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, dan Test) pada pembelajaran memahami bacaan dalam teks cerpen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Pre-Experimental Design dengan jenis One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data dikumpulkan dengan menguraikan masalah melalui wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan melihat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan menggunakan metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, dan Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar memahami bacaan teks cerpen dari nilai prates dan nilai pascates. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan dengan perolehan hasil uji T menggunakan SPSS yang menunjukkan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar < 0,001. Oleh karena nilai Asymp. Sig. < 0,05, maka dapat diartikan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya “Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari metode pembelajaran PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, dan Test) terhadap kemampuan membaca teks cerpen”. The Effect of PQRST Learning Method (Preview, Question, Read, State, and Test) on the Ability to Read Short Story Texts in Grade XI Students of Tunas Markatin High School. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, and Test) method on learning to understand reading in short story texts. This research used Pre-Experimental Design approach with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. Data were collected by elaborating the problem through interviews. Data analysis was carried out by looking at differences in student learning outcomes before and after being treated using the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, and Test) method. The results showed that there was a difference between the learning outcomes of understanding the reading of short story texts from the pre-test and post-test scores. This can be concluded by the acquisition of T test results using SPSS which shows Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of < 0.001. Because the value of Asymp. Sig. < 0.05, it can be interpreted that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning "There is a significant effect of the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, State, and Test) learning method on the ability to read short story text".
