Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai TMB Taman Pulir sebagai arena ruang publik masyarakat perkotaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dibagi menjadi tiga. Pertama, untuk mendeskripsikan konteks sosial TMB pada Taman Pulir. Kedua, bentuk aktivitas pengunjung di Taman Pulir. Ketiga, fungsi TMB Taman Pulir sebagai arena ruang publik masyarakat perkotaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Subjek penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 11 informan, yaitu 3 orang diantaranya pengurus Taman Pulir dan stakeholder terkait, 6 orang pengunjung dengan kategori usia remaja dan dewasa, serta 2 pedagang kaki lima sebagai pelaku ekonomi. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Taman Pulir, Duri Kosambi, Jakarta Barat. Pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai pada Januari 2024. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan konteks sosial historis, Taman Pulir adalah realisasi dari Taman Maju Bersama yang merupakan sebuah program dengan konsep ruang terbuka hijau berbentuk taman dilengkapi dengan fasilitas untuk semua lapisan di masyarakat. Kondisi sosial-ekonomi pada wilayah penelitian dapat digambarkan sebagai masyarakat yang makmur dan sejahtera. Bentuk aktivitas pada Taman Pulir meliputi aktivitas fisik, sosial, ekonomi, dan mengacu pada aspek ekologi. Taman Pulir sebagai ruang terbuka publik memiliki menawarkan berbagai fungsi, termasuk fungsi sosial, ekonomi, fisik, dan ekologi. Fasilitas yang tersedia memungkinkan masyarakat dari berbagai usia dan latar belakang untuk memanfaatkannya secara rutin, tanpa adanya batasan sosial atau ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori struktural fungsional Talcott Parsons untuk menganalisis keberfungsian dari Taman Pulir dan teori ekologi sosial Robert Ezra Park untuk menganalisis interaksi manusia dengan alam pada Taman Pulir. Keberadaan taman ini telah berhasil menciptakan ruang yang mendorong partisipasi masyarakat, serta memperkuat hubungan sosial melalui interaksi yang terjadi di antara pengguna taman. ***** This research discusses TMB Taman Pulir as an urban public space arena. The objectives of this research are divided into three. First, to describe the social context of TMB at Taman Pulir. Second, the form of visitor activities at Taman Pulir. Third, the function of TMB at Taman Pulir as an urban public space arena. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The subjects of this study were 11 informants, namely 3 people including the management of Taman Pulir and related stakeholders, 6 visitors with teenage and adult age categories, and 2 street vendors as economic actors. The location of this research was Taman Pulir, Duri Kosambi, West Jakarta. The implementation of the research began in January 2024. The results of this study indicate that based on the socio-historical context, Taman Pulir is the realization of Taman Maju Bersama which is a program with the concept of green open space in the form of a park equipped with facilities for all levels of society. Socio-economic conditions in the research area can be described as a prosperous and prosperous community. The form of activity in Taman Pulir includes physical, social, economic activities, and refers to ecological aspects. Taman Pulir as a public open space has various functions to offer, including social, economic, physical, and ecological functions. The facilities available allow people of various ages and backgrounds to utilize it regularly, without any social or economic restrictions. This research uses Talcott Parsons' functional structural theory to analyze the functioning of Taman Pulir and Robert Ezra Park's social ecology theory to analyze human interaction with nature in Taman Pulir. The existence of this park has succeeded in creating a space that encourages community participation, and strengthens social relations through interactions that occur between park users.
