Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sistem pendidikan yang semakin berkembang. Pendidikan yang ada saat ini sudah memasuki pendidikan abad 21. Pendidikan abad 21 menuntut siswa untuk memiliki berbagai kemampuan salah satunya berpikir kritis.. Kemampuan brtpikit kritis tidak hanya membantu siswa dalam memahami dan menganalisis informasi secara mendalam, tetapi juga menjadi bekal utama dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan dan permasalahan yang muncul dalam kehidupan sehari hari.. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendapatkan fakta dan data empirik terkait perbedaan pengaruh model CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) dan model PBL (Problem Based Learning) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata .pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa sekolah dasar di kecamatan Cakung. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV di SDN Cakung Barat 04 Pagi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan memanipulasi variabel bebas (independent) dan melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yang diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan soal berupa tes uraian. Hasil pengujian data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas (Liliefors), homogenitas (Barlett), dan uji hipotesis (Independent Sample T-test). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menggunakan uji independent sample t-test memperoleh hasil thitung = 2,779 > ttabel 1,697. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada muatan pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) dapat dijadikan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.***** This research is motivated by the growing education system. Education in the 21st century requires students to have various abilities, one of which is critical thinking. Critical thinking skills not only help students in understanding and analyzing information in depth, but also become the main provision in facing various challenges and problems that arise in everyday life. The purpose of the study was to obtain facts and empirical data related to the difference in the effect of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) model and the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model on critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education subjects of fourth grade elementary school students. The study population was all elementary school students in Cakung sub-district. The research sample was fourth grade students at SDN Cakung Barat 04 Pagi. This study uses quantitative methods with a type of quasi-experimental research by manipulating independent variables and involving two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group given different treatments. Data collection was carried out using questions in the form of a description test. The results of data testing were analyzed using normality test (Liliefors), homogeneity (Barlett), and hypothesis testing (Independent Sample T-test). Based on the test results using the independent sample t-test test, the results obtained tcount = 2.779> ttable = 1.697. The results showed that the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) learning model has a positive influence on students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education subject content. The implication of this research is that the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) learning model can be used as one way to improve students' critical thinking skills in grade IV elementary school.
