Abstract

Kompetensi digital merupakan keterampilan esensial bagi guru PAUD dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi dan transformasi pendidikan. Namun berbagai faktor dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kompetensi digital guru, termasuk faktor demografi, geografis, kepemilikan perangkat teknologi, sosial ekonomi, dan self-regulated learning (SRL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antarvariabel tersebut terhadap kompetensi digital guru PAUD di Indonesia dengan pendekatan mixed-method sequential explanatory Creswell. Tahap pertama penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik survey kepada 492 guru PAUD dari berbagai wilayah di Indonesia Barat, Tengah, dan Timur. Tahap kedua penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam untuk menggali faktor mana yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi digital guru PAUD. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik SEM-PLS dan data kualitatif dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Miles-Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor kepemilikan perangkat teknologi dan self-regulated learning (SRL) memiliki pengaruh langsung yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi digital guru PAUD. Faktor demografi, geografis, dan sosial ekonomi juga mempengaruhi kompetensi digital, namun dimediasi oleh faktor self-regulated learning. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah meskipun faktor demografis, geografis, dan sosial ekonomi berkontribusi terhadap kompetensi digital, namun pengaruh tersebut menjadi lebih signifikan ketika guru memiliki tingkat self-regulated learning yang baik. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pelatihan guru PAUD harus dirancang untuk memperkuat self-regulated learning, meliputi teknik yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan metakognitif, motivasi, dan perilaku proaktif guru dalam penggunaan teknologi. Dalam hal pengembangan materi pembelajaran digital, hendaknya dapat mendukung guru untuk secara mandiri mengasah kompetensi digital mereka, seperti melalui platform e-learning yang interaktif dan adaptif. However, various factors can affect teachers' digital competence level, including demographic, geographic, ownership of technological devices, socioeconomic, and self-regulated learning (SRL) factors. This study aims to analyze the influence of these variables on the digital competence of early childhood teachers in Indonesia using the mixed-method sequential explanatory Creswell approach. The first stage of the study used a quantitative method with a survey technique of 492 early childhood teachers from various regions in West, Central, and East Indonesia. The second stage of the study used a qualitative method conducted through in-depth interviews to explore which factors had the most influence on the digital competence of early childhood teachers. Quantitative data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS statistical technique, and qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles-Huberman analysis technique. The results showed that the factors of ownership of technological devices and self-regulated learning (SRL) significantly influenced the digital competence of PAUD teachers. Demographic, geographic, and socioeconomic factors also influenced digital competence but were mediated by the self-regulated learning factor. This study concludes that although demographic, geographic, and socioeconomic factors contribute to digital competence, the influence becomes more significant when teachers have a good level of self-regulated learning. This study implies that PAUD teacher training should improve self-regulated learning, including techniques for improving teachers' metacognition, motivation, and proactive behavior in using technology. Developing digital learning materials should support teachers to independently hone their digital competence, such as through interactive and adaptive e-learning platforms.
