Abstract

Disertasi ini meneliti pengembangan dan implementasi Model Manajemen Pendidikan Multikultural (MMPM) di Sekolah Dasar Internasional untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan prinsip multikultural. Dalam era globalisasi, pengelolaan keberagaman budaya, etnis, agama, dan bahasa penting agar siswa memiliki perspektif luas, toleransi, dan keterampilan interaksi dalam lingkungan multikultural. Sekolah dasar internasional dipilih karena keberagamannya yang tinggi dan kebutuhan akan sistem manajemen yang inklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan Model Manajemen Pendidikan Multikultural (MMPM) yang dirancang khusus untuk kebutuhan sekolah internasional; (2) merekonstruksi dan mengimplementasikan Model Manajemen Pendidikan Multikultural (MMPM) yang integratif, efektif, dan berkelanjutan pada tingkat sekolah dasar; dan (3) mengevaluasi efektivitas model ini dalam menumbuhkan kewarganegaraan global serta rasa memiliki di kalangan siswa. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method sequential-exploratory design dimana merupakan penggabungan metode kualitatif sebagai tahap pertama dan metode kuantitatif sebagai tahap kedua. Research and Development (R&D) Terapan berdasarkan model Borg dan Gall, yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, validasi ahli, dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model GlobalVersity R2S dan panduan penerapannya secara signifikan meningkatkan praktik pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Dasar Internasional. Evaluasi oleh para ahli menunjukkan bahwa Buku Panduan Guru dan Buku Kerja Siswa memperoleh skor dalam rentang 94,5% hingga 98%. Implementasi model ini dalam praktik dinilai sangat baik oleh para pendidik, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh peningkatan skor efektivitas dari 3,98 menjadi 4,37 setelah revisi dan uji coba lebih lanjut. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengembangan Model Manajemen Pendidikan Multikultural untuk Sekolah Dasar Internasional bertujuan menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang inklusif dan responsif terhadap keberagaman budayaModel ini membentuk komunitas sekolah yang mengutamakan inklusi, keberagaman, dan kewarganegaraan global. Implementasi Model Manajemen Pendidikan Multikultural menciptakan lingkungan belajar harmonis, memperkuat toleransi, inklusi, dan kesiapan siswa sebagai warga global. Evaluasi menunjukkan efektivitas model ini dalam meningkatkan kesiapan siswa dan rasa memiliki mereka. Modul berbasis Borg dan Gall juga terbukti mendukung pendidikan multikultural yang inklusif, menjadikannya referensi bagi sekolah lain. Kata kunci: Model Manajemen, Pendidikan Multikultural, Sekolah Dasar, Internasional, Inklusi, Globalisasi ************************************************************** This dissertation examines the development and implementation of the Multicultural Education Management Model (MMPM) in International Elementary Schools to enhance the understanding and application of multicultural principles. In the era of globalization, managing cultural, ethnic, religious, and linguistic diversity is crucial to ensuring that students develop broad perspectives, tolerance, and interaction skills in multicultural environments. International elementary schools were chosen due to their high level of diversity and the need for an inclusive management system. This study aims to: (1) Develop a Multicultural Education Management Model specifically designed for the needs of international schools; (2) Reconstruct and implement an integrative, effective, and sustainable Multicultural Education Management Model at the elementary school level; and (3) Evaluate the effectiveness of this model in fostering global citizenship and a sense of belonging among students. The methodology used in this study is a mixed-method sequential-exploratory design, combining qualitative methods as the first phase and quantitative methods as the second phase. Applied Research and Development (R&D) based on the Borg and Gall model was employed, including needs analysis, design, expert validation, and field testing. The findings indicate that the GlobalVersity R2S model and its implementation guide significantly improve multicultural education practices in International Elementary Schools. Expert evaluations show that the Teacher’s Guidebook and Student Workbook received scores ranging from 94.5% to 98%. The model's implementation in practice was rated highly by educators, as evidenced by an increase in effectiveness scores from 3.98 to 4.37 after revisions and further trials. The study concludes that the development of the Multicultural Education Management Model for International Elementary Schools aims to create an inclusive educational environment that is responsive to cultural diversity. This model fosters a school community that prioritizes inclusion, diversity, and global citizenship. The implementation of Multicultural Education Management Model creates a harmonious learning environment, strengthens tolerance, inclusion, and students' preparedness as global citizens. Evaluations confirm the model’s effectiveness in enhancing students’ readiness and sense of belonging. The Borg and Gall-based module also effectively supports inclusive multicultural education, making it a valuable reference for other schools in implementing sustainable multicultural education management.
