Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik tunagrahita ringan kelas VI. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan model yang dicanangkan oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart. Pengumpulan data dikumpulkan melalui proses dan evaluasi. Data melalui proses terdiri dari observasi, catatan lapangan, serta dokumentasi pengamatan saat tindakan berlangsung. Sedangkan data melalui evaluasi berupa tes keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik tunagrahita ringan kelas VI mengalami peningkatan pada keempat aspek. Pada aspek kelancaran berbicara mampu mengucapkan kata-kata dengan jelas serta berbicara dengan kecepatan yang sesuai. Aspek penggunaan kosakata mampu menggunakan kosakata yang sesuai dalam komunikasi. Aspek penggunaan ekspresi wajah mengalami peningkatan dengan peserta didik mampu menunjukkan emosi yang tepat saat berkomunikasi. Aspek kontak mata juga menunjukkan perkembangan. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode sosiodrama dapat meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik tunagrahita ringan. ***** This classroom action research aims to improve the communication skills of sixth-grade students with mild intellectual disabilities. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the model proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart. Data collection was conducted through process observation and evaluation. Process data included observations, field notes, and documentation of student activities during the intervention. Meanwhile, evaluation data consisted of communication skills tests administered before and after the intervention. The research results indicate that sixth-grade students with mild intellectual disabilities experienced improvements in all four aspects of communication. In terms of speech fluency, students were able to articulate words clearly and speak at an appropriate speed. In vocabulary usage, they demonstrated the ability to use appropriate words in communication. Facial expression skills improved, as students were able to convey emotions accurately during communication. Eye contact also showed progress. Therefore, the findings of this study demonstrate that the sociodrama method can enhance the communication skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities.
