Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran IPAS melalui metode Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas V- B SDN Pondok Labu 12 Jakarta Selatan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) atau Classroom Action Research (CAR) dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi menggunakan lembar pemantau tindakan guru dan siswa, lembar evaluasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian kemampuan berpikir kritis yang telah dilakukan pada muatan pembelajaran IPAS di kelas V SDN Pondok Labu 12 Jakarta Selatan dengan menggunakan metode PBL pada siklus I kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mendapat presentase 64,51% dan pada siklus II diperoleh 87,09%, sehingga peningkatan yang terjadi sebanyak 22,58% dan berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian tiap siklus, dapat disimpulkan bahwa jika pemabelajaran menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning maka kemamppuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SDN Pondok Labu 12 dapat meningkat. Kata Kunci : Berpikir Kritis, Metode PBL, Pembelajaran IPAS ***** This study aims to improve critical thinking skills in science learning through the Problem Based Learning method in grade V-B students of SDN Pondok Labu 12 South Jakarta. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with data collection techniques by observation using teacher and student action monitoring sheets, evaluation sheets and documentation. The results of the research on critical thinking skills that have been carried out on the content of science learning in class V SDN Pondok Labu 12 South Jakarta using the PBL method in cycle I, students' critical thinking skills got a percentage of 64.51% and in cycle II it was obtained 87.09%, so that the increase that occurred was 22.58% and based on the results of the research for each cycle, it can be concluded that if learning uses the Problem Based Learning method, the critical thinking skills of class V students of SDN Pondok Labu 12 can increase.
