Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis permulaan melalui model PWIM (Picture Word Inductive Model) siswa kelas II SDN Tanjung Barat 07 Tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Tanjung Barat 07 sebanyak 32 siswa yang terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Desain penelitiannya melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap observasi, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes uraian, observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi berupa foto. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis permulaan siswa. Siklus I sebanyak 19 siswa mendapat nilai ≥ 75 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 59%. Pada siklus II 27 siswa mendapat nilai ≥ 75 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 84%. Tindakan guru dalam pembelajaran pada siklus I mencapai 71% sementara aktivitas siswa mencapai 63%. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan pada tindakan guru yaitu menjadi 86% sedangkan aktivitas siswa mencapai 83%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan menulis permulaan siswa dapat meningkat melalui penggunaan Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM). The subject of this study is 32 students in grade II of SDN Tanjung Barat 07 consisting of 16 male students and 16 female students. This research was carried out through the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with the Kemmis and Taggart models. The research design goes through several stages, namely the planning stage, the observation stage, the implementation stage, and the reflection stage. The data collection techniques in this study are in the form of description tests, observations, field notes, and documentation in the form of photos. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive statistics. The results of the study show that the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) can improve students' beginning writing skills. In the first cycle, 19 students scored ≥ 75 with a learning completion of 59%. In the second cycle, 27 students got a score of ≥ 75 with a learning completion of 84%. Teachers' actions in learning in the first cycle reached 71% while student activities reached 63%. In the second cycle, there was an increase in teacher actions, which was to 86% while student activity reached 83%. Therefore, it can be concluded that students' beginning writing skills can be improved through the use of the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM).
