Abstract
Peserta didik autisme dengan hambatan komunikasi ekspresif membutuhkan teknik yang tepat yang dapat menstimulus kemampuan berbicara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif pada peserta didik autisme di SLB Negeri 9 Jakarta dengan teknik Discrete Trial Training. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan subjek tunggal dengan desain A-B-A. Analisis hasil penelitian menggunakan teknik analisis visual dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung selama sesi intervensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dalam banyaknya respon yang dijawab secara tepat dan mandiri pada setiap tahapan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif menjawab pertanyaan “mau apa?” dengan respon “mau mobil”, “mau pensil”, dan “mau botol”. Peningkatan kecenderungan arah data meningkat secara signifikan pada baseline pertama (A1), intervensi (B), dan baseline kedua (A2), level perubahan meningkat pada setiap tahapan, tidak ada data yang tumpang tindih, mengindikasikan bahwa teknik Discrete Trial Training efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif peserta didik autisme*****Students with autism who have expressive communication difficulties require appropriate techniques to stimulate their speaking abilities. This study aims to enhance the expressive language skills of students with autism at SLB Negeri 9 Jakarta using the Discrete Trial Training (DTT) technique. The research method employs a single-subject design A-B-A. Data analysis was conducted using visual analysis techniques within and across conditions. Data were collected through direct observation during the intervention sessions. The results of this study indicate that students showed an increase in the number of correct and independent responses at each stage of expressive language ability, specifically in answering the question “What do you want?” with responses such as “I want a car,” “I want a pencil,” and “I want a bottle.” The trend of data direction significantly increased across the first baseline (A1), intervention (B), and second baseline (A2). The level of change improved at each stage, with no overlapping data, indicating that the Discrete Trial Training technique is effective in enhancing the expressive language skills of autistic students.
