Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dengan model Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V-D Sekolah Dasar Negeri Teluk Pucung 01 Bekasi dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 27. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2020 pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian menggunakan tahap siklus I dengan 4x pertemuan. Pada pertemuan ke-4 siswa mampu memperoleh presentase nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 85,18% setara dengan 23 orang siswa yang memperoleh nilai ≥75. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial memperoleh presentase hasil tindakan aktivitas guru pada siklus I sebesar 81,25% dan hasil tindakan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 82,5%. Implikasi dari penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VD Sekolah Dasar Negeri Teluk Pucung 01 Bekasi dapat meningkat dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dengan model Problem Based Learning. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in learning Social Sciences with the Problem Based Learning model in fifth grade students of elementary schools. The subjects of this study were students of the V-D grade at Pucung Bay Public Elementary School Bekasi with a total of 27 students. The study was conducted in January 2020 in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The study used cycle 1 with 4x meetings. At the 4th meeting students were able to receive a critical thinking ability value of 85.18% equivalent to 23 students who scored ≥75. Based on the learning outcomes of the learning process by applying the Problem Based Learning model in Social Sciences learning receiving the percentage of the results of teacher activities in the first cycle by 85% and the results of the action activities of students in the first cycle amounted to 82.5%. The implication of this class action research is that the critical thinking ability of V-D grade students at Teluk Pucung 01 Bekasi Elementary School can be improved in Social Science learning with the Problem Based Learning model.
