Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kehadiran ayah terhadap harga diri peserta didik SMA Negeri di Jakarta dari keluarga bercerai. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik SMA Negeri di Jakarta dengan kriteria orang tua telah bercerai dan tidak tinggal bersama ayah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik convenience sampling yang berjumlah 153 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode survei. Untuk mengukur skala kehadiran peran ayah, peneliti menggunakan instrumen Father Presence Questionnaire (FPQ) berdasarkan teori Krampe & Newton (2006) yang sudah dikembangkan dan diadaptasi oleh Indiriyani (2023) serta untuk mengukur tingkat harga diri digunakan instrumen Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) berdasarkan teori Rosenberg yang telah diadaptasi oleh Maroqi (2018). Kedua instrumen ini telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan uji koefisien regresi sederhana dengan nilai sig <.001 dan R Square sebesar 0.384. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan kehadiran peran ayah memberikan pengaruh positif sebesar 38.4% kepada harga diri peserta didik. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa semakin rendah hadirnya peran ayah setelah perceraian terjadi, maka akan semakin rendah tingkat harga diri pada remaja. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of father’s presence on the self-esteem of senior high school students in Jakarta from divorced parents. The population in this study were senior high school students in Jakarta with the criteria that their parents had divorced and did not live with their father. Sampling was done with convenience sampling technique which amounted to 153 students. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with a survey method. To measure the father’s presence scale, Researchers used the Father Presence Questionnaire (FPQ) instrument based on the theory of Krampe & Newton (2006) which has been developed and adapted by Indiriyani (2023) and to measure the level of self-esteem used the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) instrument based on Rosenberg's theory which has been adapted by Maroqi (2018). Both instruments have been tested for validity and reliability. This study was analyzed using a simple regression coefficient test with a sig value was <.001 and an R Square was 0.384. The results in this study show father’s presence has a positive influence of 38.4% on students' self-esteem. This proves that the lower the presence of the father's role after divorce occurs, the lower the level of self-esteem in adolescents.
