Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas mengenai idiom-idiom yang terdapat di novel “Ranah 3 Warna”. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai makna-makna idiom dengan jenis-jenis dan struktur pembentuknya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis idiom dan makna dari idiom yang didapatkan dari novel “Ranah 3 Warna”. Novel tersebut berisi dari bagaimana seseorang dalam mewujudkan mimpi dan cita-cita. Idiom yang terdapat dalam novel “Ranah 3 Warna” ini dibedakan berdasarkan jenis-jenisnya. Jenis-jenis idiom di dalam penelitian ini merupakan idiom penuh dan idiom sebagian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan semantik. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan catat, menggunakan dari sumber sumber yang tertulis. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah novel Ranah 3 Warna karya A.Fuadi dengan tebal 407 halaman.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dengan teknik catat yang akan dipakai untuk mencatat hasil-hasil idiom yang ada di dalam objek penelitian. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian terdapat bahwa ada terdapat 35 jenis idiom dalam novel, yaitu 19 idiom penuh dan 14 idiom sebagian. kata kunci: idiom, jenis, makna, struktur pembentuk, novel. This thesis are explaining about the idioms that are on the Ranah 3 Warna novel. This research explains about the meanings from the idioms including the types and the structural form. The purpose of this analysis is to know about the types of idiom and their meanings from the Ranah 3 Warna novel. The novel tells about the main character reaching their dreams and goals. Idioms on the novel tells the difference by the each types. The idioms in Indonesian language types on this research analysis are called as, pure idiom and semi idiom This research analysis is using qualitative descriptive method with semantic as the approach. The technique that would be used is reading and writing technique, using the written source. Data source that would be use is from novel Ranah 3 Warna by A.Fuadi with 407 pages. The technique for collecting data source is using the reading technique and the writing technique to use for writing the results for the idioms that is on the research object. Based on the results, there’s 35 idioms on the novel, there’s 19 pure idiom and 14 semi idiom. keywords : idiom, types, meanings, structural form, novel
