Abstract

***** This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of mental health literacy on well-being in emerging adults who live in Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative with simple regression test analysis. The measurements in this study used the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS) instrument adapted by Mayangsari et al (2023) from O'Connor & Casey (2015) and the Indonesian Well-Being Scale (IWS) made by Maulana et al (2019). The number of samples obtained was 612 participants with an age range of 18-25 years, with a convenience sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that mental health literacy does not significantly affect well-being because it only has an R Square value of 0.004. Given the possibility of cultural bias in the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS) measuring instrument, further research is recommended to develop a Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS) instrument that considers the cultural aspects of respondents.
