Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengukur peran orang tua dalam mengajarkan tentang kebersihan diri anak-anak berusia 4-5 tahun di Kecamatan Kemang, Kabupaten Bogor, kebiasaan kebersihan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan survei sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Orang tua sebagai responden diminta mengisi kuesioner. Dalam proses analisis data, menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif untuk menentukan pola dan tingkat keterlibatan orang tua dalam pembiasaan kebersihan diri anak. Hasil penelitian ini secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 4-5 tahun di Kecamatan Kemang Kabupaten Bogor berada pada kategori “Tinggi”. Melalui perhitungan yang telah diperoleh dari 93 orang tua menunjukkan sebanyak 22,58% orang tua berada pada kategori selalu dalam mengajarkan tentang kebersihan diri anak-anak berusia 4-5 tahun, sebanyak 73,12% orang tua berada pada kategori sering mengajarkan tentang kebersihan diri anak-anak berusia 4-5 tahun, sebanyak 3,23% orang tuaberada pada kategori kadang-kadang dan sebanyak 1,8% orang tua berada pada kategori tidak pernah mengajarkan tentang kebersihan diri anak-anak berusia 4-5 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa orang tua berada sering menanamkan pembiasaan kebersihan diri pada anak dan orang tuasering menganjurkan anak untuk menjaga kebersihan tubuh, kebersihan telinga, kebersihan hidung, kebersihan gigi dan mulut, kebersihan tangan, kaki dan kuku serta kebersihan rambut. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang sesuai dalam membantu menanamkan pembiasaan kebersihan diri anak.*****The aim of this research is to identify and measure the role of parents in teaching personal hygiene habits to children aged 4-5 years in Kemang District, Bogor Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach using surveys as a data collection method. Parents as respondents were asked to fill out a questionnaire. In the data analysis process, descriptive statistical methods were used to determine the pattern and level of parental involvement in children's personal hygiene habits. The overall results of this research show that the role of parents who have children aged 4-5 years in Kemang District, Bogor Regency is in the "High" category. Based on calculations obtained from 93 parents, it shows that 22.58% of parents are in the category of always teaching about personal hygiene to children aged 4-5 years, as many as 73.12% of parents are in the category of often teaching about personal hygiene to children aged 4-5 years, as many as 3.23% of parents are in the category sometimes and as many as 1.8% of parents are in the category of never teaching about personal hygiene to children aged 4-5 years. The results of this study illustrate that parents often instill personal hygiene habits in their children and parents often encourage children to maintain body hygiene, ear hygiene, nose hygiene, oral and dental hygiene, hand, foot and nail hygiene and hair cleanliness. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide an appropriate picture to help instill children's personal hygiene habits.
