Abstract

Analisis ini meliputi pemahaman siswa kelas 11 pada teks eksposisi di SMAN 13 Jakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman siswa kelas 11 terhadap teks eksposisi melalui level yang ada pada rubrik Blake Education. Tabel analisis yang dikembangkan oleh Blake Education (1998) digunakan untuk proses analisis teks esai. Dari ke-empat indikator inti yang di teliti, hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) rata-rata siswa sudah berada di level 2, yang dapat dikategorikan paham mengenai teks eksposisi (2) merkipun rata-rata baik di IPA dan IPS berada di level 2, data menunjukan bahwa siswa IPA jauh lebih memahami teks eksposisi daripada siswa IPS. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti pada penelitian sebelumnya (Nurjanah, 2018) mengenai kesulitan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi sudah ditahap menengah atau rata-rata. This analysis includes the understanding of eleventh graders students with the exposition text at SMAN 13 Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to find out to what extent the comprehension of eleventh graders of students of exposition text through the levels in the Blake Education rubric. The analysis table developed by Blake Education (1998) is used for the essay text analysis process. From the four main indicators studied, the results of this study indicate that (1) the average student is already at level 2, which can be categorized as understanding of the exposition text (2) although the average in both the Natural Sciences Program and Social Sciences Program is at level 2, the data shows that the students of Natural Science Program more understand with the exposition text rather than the students of Social Science Program. This study also aims to provide evidence in previous studies (Nurjanah, 2018) regarding the difficulties of students in writing exposition texts. This research shows that the ability of students to write exposition texts is in the middle or average stages.
