Abstract
Mengenalkan matematika dengan penjelasan yang abstrak kepada siswa sekolah dasar (SD) dan menggunakan konteks yang jauh dari kehidupan siswa menimbulkan anggapan bahwa matematika tidak relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Padahal, konsep matematika jika dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari mampu memotivasi siswa menyelesaikan masalah tertentu, khususnya pada operasi hitung perkalian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), serta menganalisis kelayakan dan efektivitasnya pada mata pelajaran matematika SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian pengembangan model Hannafin and Peck. Proses pengembangan dilakukan dari analisis, desain, hingga pengembangan dan implementasi. Setelah dikembangkan, multimedia divalidasi oleh 5 orang ahli (ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli materi, dan ahli media pembelajaran) dan memperoleh nilai kelayakan dengan interpretasi sangat layak untuk digunakan oleh pengguna dalam kondisi sesungguhnya. Selanjutnya, dilaksanakan uji coba pengguna hingga kelompok besar yang memperoleh tingkat efektivitas multimedia mencapai nilai cukup efektif. Pengembangan multimedia dengan pendekatan CTL dapt memfasilitasi siswa untuk belajar matematika materi perkalian.*****Introducing mathematics with abstract explanations to elementary school students and using contexts far removed from their daily lives leads to the perception that mathematics is not relevant to everyday life. In fact, mathematical concepts, when linked to daily life, can motivate students to solve certain problems, especially in multiplication operations. This research aims to develop multimedia using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, as well as to analyze its feasibility and effectiveness in elementary school mathematics subjects. The research method used is the Hannafin and Peck development model. The development process includes analysis, design, development, and implementation. After being developed, the multimedia was validated by 5 experts (learning design experts, content experts, and media learning experts) and received a feasibility score with the interpretation of being very suitable for use by users in real conditions. Next, user trials were conducted with large groups, achieving a level of multimedia effectiveness that reached a fairly effective value. The development of multimedia with a CTL approach can facilitate students in learning mathematics, specifically multiplication.
