Abstract

*********** Abstract: The research conducted aims to: (1) produce a learning model for the English for Educational Technologists course by integrating adaptive learning according to the actualization of local wisdom, (2) produce the results of a feasibility analysis of the learning model for the English for Educational Technologists course by integrating adaptive learning according to the actualization of local wisdom, and (3) test the effectiveness of the learning model for the English for Educational Technologists course by integrating adaptive learning according to the actualization of local wisdom. The research method used is research and development combining the Borg and Gall model, the Dick and Carey model and the two-phase SAM model. Data collection techniques used include: field notes, questionnaires and learning outcome test. The instruments used are field notes sheets, questionnaire sheets and learning outcome test kit. Data collected through research instruments are then processed using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis techniques of paired sample t-test. The results of the study show: (1) a learning model for the English for Educational Technologists course has been produced by integrating adaptive learning according to the actualization of local wisdom consisting of five syntaxes: readiness (R), exploration (E), group activity (G), assessment (A), reflection (R) and decision making (D); (2) the learning model developed is very feasible to be used in the English for Educational Technologist course based on expert reviews (learning design experts 4.95, learning material experts 4.98, learning media experts 5.00 and information technology experts 4.80) and trials on students (one to one 4.87, small group trials 4.81 and field trials 4.58); and (3) the learning model developed is effective in improving learning outcomes in the English for Educational Technologist course by 29.16, the paired sample t-test results show the calculated tvalue (23.827) > ttable (2,060) at df 25, α  0.05, and N-Gain is 0.7056 (high). It is recommended that the developed learning model can be used in the next English for Educational Technologist course by paying attention to the supporting requirements.
