Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai kemampuan membaca peserta didik autisme di sekolah dasar wilayah Jakarta Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pelaksanaan test, selanjutnya data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan membaca peserta didik autisme di sekolah dasar penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif dibagi menjadi dua , yaitu kemampuan membaca permulaan dan membaca pemahaman. Pada kemampuan membaca permulaan sebanyak 65% peserta didik termasuk kategori mampu membaca, namun pada kemampuan membaca pemahaman hanya 35% peserta didik yang termasuk kategori mampu membaca. Hasil penelitian tersebut memberikan implikasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. This study aims to obtain information about the ability to read autism students in elementary schools in East Jakarta. The method used in this research is survey. Data collection is done by conducting a test, then the data that has been collected is analyzed quatitatively.The results showed the ability to read autism students in primary schools implementing inclusive education was divided into two, namely the ability to begin reading and reading comprehension. In the beginning reading ability as much as 65% of students are included in the category of being able to read, but in reading comprehension skill only 35% of students are included in the category of being able to read. The results of these studies have implications for improving the reading ability of students with special needs.
