Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaaan melalui penerapan metode Jolly Phonics pada siswa berkesulitan membaca kelas III SDN Cipedak 02 Jakarta Selatan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah satu orang peserta didik kesulitan membaca berinisial AD. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Dengan Subyek Tunggal atau Single Subject Research dimana tahapan pada metode tersebut terdiri dari tahap Baseline (A1), Intervensi (B), dan Baseline (A2). Data penelitian diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada tahap baseline A1, intervensi, dan baseline A2 mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Jolly Phonics dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada peserta didik kesulitan membaca di SDN Cipedak o2 Jakarta Selatan. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan guru dapat menggunakan metode Jolly Phonics dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan pada peserta didik kesulitan membaca. The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of word recognation through the application of the Jolly Phonics method to the 3rd grade student who has disability in reading at SDN Cipedak 02, South Jakarta. He subject of this research was a student, the initial is AD, who has disability in reading. The method used is Single Subject Research in which the stages of the method consist of Baseline (A1), Intervention (B), and Baseline (A2) stages. Research data obtained at Baseline (A1), Intervention (B), and Baseline (A2) have increased. Based on research conducted, it can be concluded that the Jolly Phonics method can improve the ability of word recognition skill to student who has disability in reading at SDN Cipedak 02, South Jakarta. Therefore, teacher are expected to be able to use the Jolly Phonics method in word recognition to the students who have disability in reading.
