Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-compassion dan social support terhadap academic buoyancy pada siswa SMP. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada urgensi faktor dari dalam diri maupun dari lingkungan sekitar yang dapat menunjang kemampuan siswa dalam menghadapi tekanan belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei korelasional. Partisipan berjumlah 321 siswa kelas 7 hingga 9 di wilayah Tangerang dan Tangerang Selatan yang dipilih melalui teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala academic buoyancy, skala self-compassion, skala social support. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda, dengan pemrosesan data dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak JASP versi 0.19.3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, self-compassion dan social support memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap academic buoyancy, ditunjukkan melalui nilai F = 180,660 dan p < 0,001, dengan kontribusi sebesar 53,2% (R² = 0,532). Secara parsial, self-compassion memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap academic buoyancy (β = 0,560; t = 9,606; p < 0,001), demikian pula social support (β = 0,208; t = 3,565; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pengembangan sikap self-compassion dan peningkatan social support berperan penting dalam membentuk academic buoyancy siswa. ***** This study aims to examine the influence of self-compassion and social support on academic buoyancy among junior high school students. The rationale for this study is based on the urgency to explore both internal and external factors that contribute to students’ ability to manage academic stress. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational survey design. A total of 321 junior high school students in grades 7 to 9 from Tangerang and South Tangerang, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Academic Buoyancy Scale, the Self-Compassion Scale, and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of JASP version 0.19.3.0. The results revealed that self-compassion and social support simultaneously had a significant influence on academic buoyancy (F = 180,660, p < 0,001), contributing 53,2% to the variance (R² = 0,532). Partially, self-compassion had a positive and significant effect on academic buoyancy (β = 0,560, t = 9,606, p < 0,001), as did social support (β = 0,208, t = 3,565, p < 0,001). These findings emphasize the crucial role of fostering self-compassion and enhancing social support in strengthening students’ academic buoyancy.
