Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SMP Negeri 14 Jakarta. Penelitian dilakukan didasarkan pada tantangan pembelajaran di era digital yang menuntut inovasi dalam strategi pembelajaran serta rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment dan pendekatan non-equivalent control group. Kelas VIII B ditetapkan sebagai kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom, sedangkan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen berupa tes hasil belajar telah diuji validitas menggunakan korelasi point biserial dan reliabilitas dengan rumus KR-20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen (81,40) lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol (74,94). Uji normalitas pada data post-test menggunakan Kolmogorov-Smirnov menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,078 untuk kelompok eksperimen dan 0,085 untuk kelompok kontrol. Karena kedua nilai lebih besar dari 0,05 (0,078 > 0,05 dan 0,085 > 0,05), maka data dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Uji homogenitas menggunakan Levene’s test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,670 (p > 0,05), yang berarti data memiliki varians yang homogen. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan independent sample t-test. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05. Dengan demikian, H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima, yang menunjukkan bahwa model flipped classroom berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Flipped Classroom terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS peserta didik. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning model on learning outcomes in Social Studies (IPS) of Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 14 Jakarta. The background of this research is rooted in the challenges of digital-era education that demand innovation in learning strategies, as well as the low academic achievement in Social Studies among students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group. Class VIII B was assigned as the experimental group receiving the Flipped Classroom model, while Class VIII C served as the control group with conventional teaching methods. The research instrument was a learning outcome test, validated using pointbiserial correlation and tested for reliability using the KR-20 formula. The results showed that the average post-test score of the experimental class (86.04) was higher than that of the control class (79,47). The normality test of the post-test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov formula showed a significance value of 0.078 for the experimental group and 0.085 for the control group. Since both values are greater than 0.05 (0.078 > 0.05 and 0.085 > 0.05), the data were normally distributed. The homogeneity test using Levene’s test showed a significance value of 0.670 (p > 0.05), indicating that the data variances were homogeneous. The hypothesis was tested using an independent sample t-test. The result showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than the significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted, indicating a significant effect in students’ learning outcomes between the control and experimental groups. Thus, the implementation of the Flipped Classroom model is proven to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies.
