Abstract
Penelitian ini secara garis besar memiliki tiga tujuan utama yang tercantum di dalam permasalahan penelitian yaitu yang pertama untuk memaparkan hal yang melatarbelakangi kebertahanan tradisi beas perelek di Kampung Cijabon. Kedua adalah untuk memaparkan bagaimana upaya yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Kampung Cijabon dalam mempertahankan tradisi beas perelek. Ketiga adalah untuk memaparkan bagaimana perspektif sosiologis makna dalam kebertahanan tradisi beas perelek di Kampung Cijabon. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian studi kasus. Data penelitian didapatkan observasi, dokumentasi, studi kepustakaan serta wawancara mendalam dengan tujuh subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari lima orang informan kunci yaitu satu orang tokoh sesepuh, satu orang ketua pengelola, satu orang bendahara pengelola serta dua pelaksana tradisi beas perelek di Kampung Cijabon. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan dua informan triangulasi yaitu satu orang masyarakat asli Kampung Cijabon dan satu orang anak muda di Kampung Cijabon. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Cijabon, Desa Cimahi, Kabupaten Sukabumi pada bulan Juni 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hal yang melatarbelakangi kebertahanan tradisi beas perelek di Kampung Cijabon yaitu adanya jaringan keterhubungan yang simetris antara peran dari tokoh sesepuh, para pengelola tradisi serta kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya mewariskan sebuah tradisi kepada generasi selanjutnya. Selain itu, kesinambungan antara ketiganya membuat tantangan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat Kampung Cijabon dalam mempertahankan tradisi beas perelek menghasilkan upaya yaitu para pengelola tradisi yang berkolaborasi bersama tokoh sesepuh membuat pertemuan antar masyarakat serta membuat kegiatan ngariung untuk meningkatkan kembali semangat budaya gotong royong di kalangan anak muda. Hal inilah yang membuat tradisi beas perelek di Kampung Cijabon masih dapat bertahan di tengah guncangan modernisasi yang melanda kehidupan. Makna filosofis dalam perspektif jaringan sosial yang dibangun melalui tradisi beas perelek menunjukkan ikatan yang kuat antar masyarakat Kampung Cijabon yaitu solidaritas gotong royong yang tercermin dalam konsep triad. Ditambah dengan pewarisan tradisi beas perelek melalui pendidikan informal oleh orang tua kepada anak-anak mereka. ************* In general, this study has three main objectives listed in the research problem, the first one is to explain the background of the survival of the beas perelek tradition in Cijabon Village. The second is to explain the efforts made by the Cijabon Village community in maintaining the beas perelek tradition. The third is to explain the sociological perspective of meaning in the survival of the beas perelek tradition in Cijabon Village. This study uses a qualitative approach using a case study research method. The research data were obtained through observation, documentation, literature studies and in-depth interviews with seven research subjects consisting of five key informants, namely one elder figure, one head of management, one treasurer of management and two implementers of the beas perelek tradition in Cijabon Village. This study also used two triangulation informants, namely one native of Cijabon Village and one young person in Cijabon Village. The location of this research was carried out in Cijabon Village, Cimahi Village, Sukabumi Regency in June 2024. The results of the study showed that the background to the survival of the beas perelek tradition in Cijabon Village was the existence of a symmetrical network of connections between the roles of elder figures, tradition managers and community awareness of the importance of passing on a tradition to the next generation. In addition, the continuity between the three made the challenges faced by the Cijabon Village community in maintaining the beas perelek tradition result in efforts, namely the tradition managers who collaborated with elder figures to hold meetings between communities and create ngariung activities to revive the spirit of mutual cooperation culture among young people. This is what makes the beas perelek tradition in Cijabon Village still able to survive in the midst of the shocks of modernization that hit life. The philosophical meaning in the perspective of the social network built through the beas perelek tradition shows a strong bond between the Cijabon Village community, namely mutual cooperation solidarity which is reflected in the triad concept. Coupled with the inheritance of the tradition of beas perelek through informal education by parents to their children.
