Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi fitur Mengenal Paras Nusantara dalam meningkatkan literasi IPS dan daya tarik kunjungan di Museum Nasional Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh pentingnya inovasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran sosial budaya serta kebutuhan museum untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan minat generasi digital. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan pengunjung dan pengelola museum sebagai narasumber utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fitur Mengenal Paras Nusantara memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap literasi IPS dengan menyajikan representasi visual suku bangsa Indonesia secara interaktif dan menarik. Pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan melalui teknologi pemindaian wajah membentuk motivasi awal dan ketertarikan pengunjung terhadap keberagaman budaya nusantara. Namun demikian, keterbatasan konten dan minimnya narasi pendukung menjadi tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan fungsi edukatif fitur ini. Selain itu, fitur ini terbukti signifikan dalam meningkatkan daya tarik kunjungan, terutama di kalangan generasi muda. Kemunculan fitur di media sosial, pengalaman yang imersif, dan kesan modern terhadap museum menjadi faktor pendorong utama kunjungan. Meskipun terdapat kritik terkait kedalaman konten, mayoritas pengunjung menunjukkan respons positif dan menyuarakan pentingnya inovasi berkelanjutan di museum. Dengan demikian, fitur Mengenal Paras Nusantara berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran IPS sekaligus meningkatkan eksistensi museum sebagai ruang publik yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi. ***** This research aims to analyze the contribution of the "Mengenal Paras Nusantara" feature in enhancing social studies literacy and the attractiveness of visits to the National Museum of Indonesia. The background of this research is based on the importance of technological innovation in socio-cultural learning and the need for museums to adapt to the interests of the digital generation. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects involved museum visitors and managers as the main informants. The research results show that the Recognizing Nusantara Faces feature contributes positively to social studies literacy by presenting interactive and engaging visual representations of Indonesian ethnic groups. A pleasant learning experience through facial recognition technology fosters initial motivation and interest among visitors in the cultural diversity of the archipelago. However, the limited content and lack of supporting narratives pose a challenge in optimizing the educational function of this feature. In addition, this feature has proven to be significant in increasing the appeal of visits, especially among the younger generation. The emergence of features on social media, immersive experiences, and a modern impression of the museum have become the main driving factors for visits. Although there are criticisms regarding the depth of the content, the majority of visitors have shown a positive response and emphasized the importance of continuous innovation in the museum. Thus, the feature "Mengenal Paras Nusantara" has the potential to be an effective strategy in supporting IPS learning while also enhancing the museum's existence as a public space that adapts to technological developments.
