Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Scramble-type cooperative learning model on Civic Education learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Babakan Dramaga 04. The research employed a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students, totaling three classes. The sample included 40 students: 20 from class IVA (experimental group) and 20 from class IVC (control group). The research instrument was validated using the Pearson Product Moment, which showed that 8 out of 10 items were valid. Reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha produced a score of r = 0.700821, indicating that the instrument was reliable. Normality testing using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed that both groups’ data were normally distributed (sig > 0.05). Homogeneity testing using Levene’s test showed that the data were homogeneous (sig = 0.14 > 0.05). Hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test resulted in a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.021 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental and control groups. Therefore, the Scramble learning model has a positive effect on the Civic Education learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Babakan Dramaga 04.
