Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik kelas 5C dalam mata Pelajaran Matematika di SDN Jati 03. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 5C yang berjumlah 30 orang. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart, yang terdiri dari tiga siklus dengan tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi serta refleksi pada setiap siklusnya. Data penelitian terdiri dari data proses dan data hasil belajar peserta didik. Proses data diperoleh melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan aktivitas peserta didik serta data kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik yang diperoleh melalui tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus pertama, hanya 52% peserta didik yang tuntas sementara 48% tidak tuntas. Pada siklus kedua, meningkat menjadi 73% untuk peserta didik yang tuntas dan 27% yang tidak tuntas. Sementara itu, pada siklus ketiga, peserta didik yang telah tuntas mencapai 93% dan yang tidak tuntas hanya 7%. Kesimpulannya yaitu adanya peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada setiap siklus sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa penerapan model Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) pada mata pelajaran Matematika telah berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. ******** This Classroom Action Research was conducted with the aim of improving the mathematical communication skills of class 5C students in Mathematics at SDN Jati 03. The subjects in this study were 30 class 5C students. The type of research used was classroom action research using the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model consisting of three cycles with stages, namely planning, action and observation and reflection in each cycle. The research data consisted of process data and student learning outcome data. Process data was obtained through observation of teacher activities and student activities and data on students' mathematical communication skills were obtained through tests. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical communication skills in each cycle. In cycle I, only 52% of students completed while 48% did not complete. In cycle II, it increased to 73% of students who completed and 27% who did not complete. While in cycle III, students who completed reached 93% and those who did not complete were only 7%. The conclusion is that there is an increase in mathematical communication skills in each cycle so that it can be stated that the application of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) model in Mathematics subjects has succeeded in improving students' mathematical communication skills.
