Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1. Mendeskripsikan hal yang melatarbelakangi tindakan sosial komunitas dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan luar sekolah, 2. Mendeskripsikan bentuk tindakan sosial komunitas, 3. Mendeskripsikan dampak dari tindakan sosial komunitas dalam aksi volunterisme penyelenggaraan pendidikan luar sekolah. Di mana dalam konteks ini, komunitas menjadi aktor sosial alternatif yang mengisi kekosongan peran negara melalui aksi volunterisme, yakni kegiatan sukarela tanpa imbalan yang berlandaskan pada nilai kemanusiaan dan kepedulian sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, studi literatur, dan dokumentasi. Informan kunci penelitian terdiri atas 1 orang inisiator komunitas, serta 2 orang relawan komunitas yang terdiri atas 1 relawan senior dan 1 relawan tim inti komunitas. Sementara informan tambahan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas 2 orang siswa komunitas, 1 orang tua siswa, dan 1 masyarakat sekitar Komunitas Gerakan Suka Baca. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Masjid Jami’ Abdurrahman Al- Athiq, Komplek Perumahan Panorama Citayam, Kecamatan Tajur Halang, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat, pada bulan September 2024 hingga Mei 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Komunitas Gerakan Suka Baca melakukan berbagai tindakan sosial yang bermakna dan diarahkan kepada masyarakat, di mana tindakan tersebut didorong oleh pemaknaan bersama anggota komunitas terhadap ketimpangan akses dalam bidang pendidikan. Tindakan sosial tersebut meliputi tindakan berorientasi nilai, ketika komunitas terdorong oleh keyakinan bahwa membantu siswa untuk mengakses pendidikan tambahan merupakan sebuah tanggung jawab sosial, tindakan berorientasi tujuan, ketika komunitas melakukan perencanaan hingga evaluasi berbagai program pendidikan dengan tujuan yang jelas, tindakan tradisional yang tercermin dalam internalisasi budaya komunitas yang dijalankan secara berulang, serta tindakan afektif ketika motivasi yang mendorong tindakan komunitas muncul dari empati dan kepekaan emosional terhadap ketidaksetaraan akses pendidikan. Dampak dari tindakan sosial komunitas dalam aksi volunterisme ini tidak hanya berupa peningkatan kemampuan akademik siswa semata, tetapi juga membangun kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pendidikan. Describe the background of community social actions in organizing non-formal education, 2. Describe the forms of community social actions, 3. Describe the impact of community social actions in volunteerism in organizing non- formal education. In this context, the community acts as an alternative social actor filling the void left by the state through volunteerism, which is voluntary, unpaid activity based on humanitarian values and social concern This study was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Key informants for this study consisted of one community initiator and two community volunteers, comprising one senior volunteer and one core community team volunteer. Additional informants in this study included 2 community students, 1 parent of a student, and 1 member of the surrounding community of the Gerakan Suka Baca Community. The research was conducted at Masjid Jami’ Abdurrahman Al-Athiq, Panorama Citayam Residential Complex, Tajur Halang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, West Java, from September 2024 to May 2025. The results of the study showed that Gerakan Suka Baca Community carried out various meaningful social actions directed at the community, where these actions were driven by the community's shared meaning of inequality in access to education. These social actions include value-oriented actions, when the community is driven by the belief that helping students to access additional education is a social responsibility, goal-oriented actions, when the community carries out planning to evaluation of various educational programs with clear objectives, traditional actions reflected in the internalization of community culture that is carried out repeatedly, and affective actions when the motivation that drives community action arises from empathy and emotional sensitivity to inequality in access to education. The impact of community social action in voluntarism is not only in the form of improving students' academic abilities, but also building community awareness of the importance of education.
