Abstract

Pendidikan Sistem Ganda (PSG) di SMK bertujuan mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik industri agar lulusan lebih siap kerja. Namun, pelaksanaan PSG di SMKN 5 Jakarta, khususnya pada jurusan Teknik Permesinan, belum mengadopsi pendekatan pedagogis aktif seperti Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model PBL dan PjBL dalam pelaksanaan PSG serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa kelas XII Teknik Permesinan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif eksploratif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket naratif terbuka, angket validasi, wawancara guru pembimbing, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 15 siswa yang mengikuti program PSG selama satu bulan di berbagai industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL dan PjBL mampu menciptakan pemahaman siswa terhadap proyek yang dikerjakan, mendorong motivasi intrinsik, dan memperkuat keterlibatan siswa dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan perilaku. Temuan ini diperkuat melalui triangulasi data dari berbagai sumber. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa model PBL dan PjBL efektif diterapkan dalam PSG untuk mendorong siswa menjadi lebih aktif, mandiri, dan terlibat secara menyeluruh dalam proses pembelajaran vokasional.***** Dual System Education (PSG) in Vocational High Schools aims to integrate theory and industrial practice to better prepare graduates for employment. However, the implementation of PSG at SMKN 5 Jakarta, particularly in the Mechanical Engineering department, has not adopted active pedagogical approaches such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL). This study aims to describe the implementation of PBL and PjBL models in PSG implementation and analyze their influence on the motivation and engagement of 12th grade Mechanical Engineering students. The research approach used is exploratory descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of open-ended narrative questionnaires, validation questionnaires, interviews with supervising teachers, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 15 students who participated in the PSG program for one month in various industries. The results showed that the implementation of PBL and PjBL was able to create student understanding of the projects being worked on, encourage intrinsic motivation, and strengthen student engagement in cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects. These findings were strengthened through triangulation of data from various sources. The conclusion shows that the PBL and PjBL models are effectively implemented in PSG to encourage students to be more active, independent, and fully involved in the vocational learning process.
