Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir spasial dan pemahaman materi Mitigasi dan Adaptasi Kebencanaan peserta didik di kelas XI SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juni 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik jenjang kelas XI Peminatan Geografi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka yang terbagi menjadi kelas XI-3 dan XI-7. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling sebanyak 70 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes berbentuk pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir spasial dan pemahaman materi Mitigasi dan Adaptasi Kebencanaan peserta didik di kelas XI SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh taraf signifikansi (Sig.) 0,000 karena signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,005 (0,000 < 0,005), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil perhitungan analisis korelasi diperoleh nilai koefisien sebesar 0,657 dengan derajat hubungan kuat. Artinya terdapat faktor lain yang menentukan pemahaman materi peserta didik selain kemampuan berpikir spasial. Kemampuan berpikir spasial dapat menentukan pemahaman materi peserta didik sebesar 65,7% sementara sisanya sebesar 34,3% ditentukan oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini. ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between spatial thinking skills and understanding of Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation material for students in grade XI of SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta from January to June 2024. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were students in grade XI Geography Interest in the Independent Curriculum which were divided into grades XI-3 and XI-7. Sampling used a total sampling method of 70 people. The data collection technique used a multiplechoice test instrument that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used in this study was Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. The results of the study concluded that there was a relationship between spatial thinking skills and understanding of Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation material for students in grade XI of SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta. Based on the calculation results, a significance level (Sig.) of 0.000 was obtained because the significance was less than 0.005 (0.000 <0.005), so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The correlation analysis yielded a coefficient of 0.657, indicating a strong correlation. This means that other factors besides spatial thinking skills determine students' understanding of the material. Spatial thinking skills accounted for 65.7% of students' understanding of the material, while the remaining 34.3% was determined by other factors not included in this study.
