Abstract

Aldwyn Emilio, Pengaruh Kelompok Sosial di BEM Prodi di FISH UNJ Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum. Skripsi: Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2025. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kelompok sosial di Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) Prodi terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Kelompok sosial memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk motivasi belajar mahasiswa, terutama di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi. Di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum Universitas Negeri Jakarta, kelompok sosial seperti BEM Prodi berpotensi memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku dan semangat belajar anggotanya. Namun, masih minim penelitian yang secara spesifik mengkaji bagaimana interaksi, pola komunikasi, dan sistem nilai dalam kelompok sosial BEM Prodi memengaruhi motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel terdiri dari 84 mahasiswa aktif yang tergabung dalam kepengurusan BEM Prodi. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner tertutup dan dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan kelompok sosial terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa, ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 kurang dari 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peran kelompok sosial yang suportif dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan dapat mendorong peningkatan semangat dan kualitas belajar. Lingkungan organisasi yang harmonis dan interaktif mampu membentuk rasa memiliki, tanggung jawab, serta saling memotivasi antaranggota. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi institusi dan mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan potensi organisasi yang positif sebagai strategi peningkatan prestasi akademik. Thesis: Social Science Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University, 2025 This study aims to analyze the influence of social groups in Student Executive Board (BEM) units on the learning motivation of students at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, State University of Jakarta. Social groups play a crucial role in shaping students’ learning motivation, especially in higher education settings. At the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, the dynamics of social groups such as the Student Executive Board (BEM Prodi) have the potential to significantly influence members’ academic behavior and motivation. However, there is still a lack of research specifically examining how interactions, communication patterns, and value systems within BEM Prodi social groups affect students’ learning motivation. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with 84 active BEM members as the sample. Data were collected through closed questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings indicate a significant influence of social groups on students’ learning motivation, with a significance value of 0,000 less than 0.05. These results suggest that supportive social groups within student organizations can enhance enthusiasm and academic quality. A positive and interactive organizational environment fosters a sense of belonging, responsibility, and mutual motivation among members. Therefore, it is important for institutions and students to cultivate a constructive organizational potential to improve academic performance.
