Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika melalui metode Schema Based Instruction dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, model siklus Kemmis dan Taggart melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi tahun ajaran 2024/2025 berlangsung selama 3 siklus. Analisis data pada penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif (kualitatif) dan data angka (kuantitatif). Hasil yang diperoleh dari tes kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika, yaitu siklus I 28%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 59,3% dan terakhir siklus III meningkat menjadi 75%. Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode Schema Based Instruction dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika siswa kelas IV SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi dalam pembelajaran matematika. ***** The objective of this research is the enchance the ability to solve mathematical words problems through Schema-Based Instruction method in mathematics learning for fourth-grade students at Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi Public Elementary School. This research employed a classroom action research design using Kemmis and Taggart’s cyclical model, which involves the stages of planning, action, observing, and reflection. The research was conducted on fourth-grade students at SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi, in the academic year of 2024/2025, spanning three cycles. Data analysis in this research was descriptive (qualitative) and numerical (quantitative). The result obtained from the the ability to solve mathematical words problems test showed an increase from 28% in cycle I, to 59,3% in cycle II, and to 75% in cycle III. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Schema Based Instruction metode can effectively enchance the ability to solve mathematical words problems of fourth-grade students at SDN Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi in mathematics.
