Abstract

Mutu pendidikan di tingkat sekolah dasar tidak terlepas dari keberadaan sarana dan prasarana yang layak serta memadai. Di SDN Semanan 09 Pagi, ditemukan persoalan serius berupa keterbatasan fasilitas pendidikan, baik dari sisi kuantitas maupun kualitas, yang berdampak pada belum optimalnya proses pembelajaran. Situasi ini menuntut adanya langkah strategis dari kepala sekolah dalam mengelola sekaligus mengoptimalkan fungsi sarana dan prasarana demi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi kepala sekolah dalam aspek perencanaan, penggandaan, pemeliharaan, dan pemanfaatan sarana prasarana. Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, staf pengelola, serta siswa, dan juga melalui telaah dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif, penggandaan disesuaikan dengan urgensi kebutuhan, pemeliharaan dilaksanakan berkelanjutan, dan pemanfaatan diarahkan pada integrasi sarana prasarana dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Strategi yang ditempuh secara komprehensif ini terbukti mampu mendorong terciptanya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan melalui pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana yang lebih terarah dan efektif di SDN Semanan 09 Pagi/ ***** The quality of education at the elementary level is inextricably linked to the availability of adequate and functional facilities and infrastructure. At SDN Semanan 09 Pagi, a pressing issue has emerged in the form of limited educational resources, both in terms of quantity and condition, which has hindered the optimal execution of the learning process. This condition demands strategic intervention from the school principal to not only manage but also maximize the utility of existing facilities to elevate educational outcomes. This study aims to explore the principal’s strategic efforts in planning, procurement, maintenance, and utilization of educational facilities. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were gathered through direct observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, support staff, and students, as well as through document analysis. Findings reveal that planning is conducted through a participatory model, procurement is prioritized based on urgency, maintenance is carried out in a sustained manner, and utilization is integrated seamlessly into the instructional process. These comprehensive strategies have proven effective in fostering educational improvement through more purposeful and systemic management of school facilities at SDN Semanan 09 Pagi..
