Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasikan aset komunitas, menelaah proses pemberdayaan dan menganalisis dinamika pemberdayaan aset berbasis ekonomi komunitas yang dilakukan komunitas punk Taring Babi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dan konsep ekonomi komunitas. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memahami secara mendalam mengenai pemberdayaan aset dan praktik ekonomi dalam komunitas punk Taring Babi. Lokasi studi berada di markas komunitas yang terletak di kawasan Setu Babakan, Jalan Setiabudi, Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan. Pengumpulan data berlangsung dari bulan Februari 2025 hingga Mei 2025. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 6 orang informan yaitu 2 pendiri komunitas, 3 anggota komunitas dan 1 warga sekitar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui 3 tahapan yaitu observasi langsung di lokasi penelitian, wawancara mendalam dengan informan, serta pengumpulan dokumentasi baik dari informan maupun hasil pengamatan secara langsung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunitas punk Taring Babi di Jakarta Selatan mampu mengembangkan proses pemberdayaan melalui pengelolaan aset komunitas yang dimiliki secara mandiri dan kolektif. Dengan semangat Do It Together (DIT), komunitas ini berhasil mengidentifikasi dan memanfaatkan berbagai bentuk aset seperti keterampilan individu, jaringan sosial, nilai budaya, serta ruang fisik sebagai fondasi utama untuk menjalankan kegiatan ekonomi komunitas. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa produksi merchandise, produksi lagu, pembuatan tato yang bertema perlawanan yang dikerjakan secara bersama dengan mengandalkan aset-aset yang dimiliki. poKegiatan tersebut menjadi sumber penghasilan, membentuk proses pemberdayaan sosial, memperkuat identitas, serta menumbuhkan solidaritas antaranggota. Melalui proses ini, komunitas mampu memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi, membangun kemandirian, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan memperkuat posisi sosial komunitas sebagai bagian dari pelaku ekonomi yang mandiri dan inklusif. Kajian ini berada dalam ranah sosiologi budaya dan ekonomi dengan menggunakan teori Asset-Based Community Development. Kata Kunci : Pemberdayaan, Ekonomi Komunitas, Komunitas Punk ***** This research aims to identify the community’s assets, examine the empowerment process, and analyze the dynamics of asset-based community economic empowerment carried out by the punk community Taring Babi. The study applies the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) theory and the concept of community economy. This research employs a case study method with a qualitative approach to gain an indepth understanding of asset empowerment and economic practices within the punk community Taring Babi. The study was conducted at the community's headquarters located in Setu Babakan, Jalan Setiabudi, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Data collection took place from February to May 2025. The research subjects consisted of six informants: two community founders, three members, and one local resident. Data were gathered through three stages: direct observation at the research site, in-depth interviews with informants, and documentation obtained from both informants and direct observation. The findings reveal that the Taring Babi punk community in South Jakarta has successfully developed an empowerment process through independent and collective management of its community assets. Driven by the spirit of Do It Together (DIT), the community has been able to identify and mobilize various assets—such as individual skills, social networks, cultural values, and physical spaces—as the foundation for running community-based economic activities. These activities include merchandise production, music creation, and protest-themed tattoo art, all carried out collaboratively using the available assets. Such practices serve as sources of income, foster social empowerment, strengthen collective identity, and nurture solidarity among members. Through this process, the community meets its economic needs, builds self-reliance, increases confidence, and reinforces its social position as an independent and inclusive economic actor. This study lies within the field of cultural and economic sociology, employing the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) framework. Keywords: Empowerment, Community Economy, Punk Community
