Abstract

Bekas luka pada kulit dapat menurunkan rasa percaya diri dan mendorong penggunaan produk perawatan berisiko yang mengandung bahan berbahaya. Diperlukan alternatif pengobatan yang alami, aman, dan efektif. Kunyit merupakan tanaman herbal yang dapat membantu mengobati hiperpigmentasi, dan infeksi kulit karena memiliki sifat antioksidan, antiinflamasi, dan antibakteri alami karena mengandung kurkumin yang dapat mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memformulasikan dan mengevaluasi sabun padat berbasis ekstrak rimpang kunyit berdasarkan standar SNI 3532-2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, rimpang kunyit diekstraksi dengan etanol 96%. Formula yang dibuat adalah konsentrasi 0,47%, 1,40%, dan 2,00% dengan metode hot process dengan bahan utama minyak zaitun, virgin coconut oil (VCO), natrium hidroksida (NaOH), akuades, dan ekstrak rimpang kunyit sebagai bahan aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua formula memiliki kestabilan bentuk, bau, dan warna, dengan pH antara 9,42-9,66 yang sesuai dengan standar. Daya busa stabil dengan ketinggian 15 mL dan tekstur busa yang lembut. Kekerasan sabun mencapai 2,5 kg/cm², memenuhi standar ketahanan fisik. Ketiga formula menunjukkan hasil negatif terhadap pertumbuhan Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli, serta memiliki stabilitas fisik dan kimia yang baik selama 4 minggu penyimpanan pada suhu 40°C. Hasil keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa semua formula memenuhi standar kualitas sabun padat, dengan Formula F2 dipilih sebagai yang optimal karena memiliki warna dan aroma yang sesuai dengan karakteristik rimpang kunyit. ******* Skin scars can reduce self-esteem and promote the use of dangerous skincare products with toxic substances. Natural, secure, and efficient treatment options are required. Because it contains curcumin, which can hasten the healing of wounds, turmeric is a herbal plant with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and natural antibacterial qualities that can help treat skin hyperpigmentation. The purpose of this study is to create and assess antimicrobial solid soap using turmeric rhizome extract in compliance with SNI 3532-2016. 96% ethanol is used to extract the turmeric rhizomes as part of an experimental procedure. The heat process method was used to develop formulae with concentrations of 0.47%, 1.40%, and 2.00%. The active constituents in these formulas are turmeric rhizome extract, olive oil, (VCO), (NaOH), and aquades. According to the research findings, all of the formulae were stable in terms of shape, odor, and color, and their pH ranged within the acceptable range of 9.42 to 9.66. With a 15 mL height and a soft foam texture, the foam stability is steady. The soap satisfies the physical resistance requirements with a hardness of 2.5 kg/cm². In addition to demonstrating strong physical and chemical stability over the course of four weeks of storage at 40°C, all three formulae demonstrated negative findings against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. All formulae satisfied the quality requirements for solid soap, according to the overall results; however, Formula F2 was selected as the best one because of its color and scent, which complement the properties of turmeric rhizome.
