Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan media sosial dan social media jealousy mempengaruhi kepuasan hubungan pada dewasa awal pengguna TikTok yang terlibat dalam hubungan romantis. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Jumlah data data final pada penelitian ini adalah 407 responden yang merupakan dewasa awal berusia 18-40 tahun, pengguna aplikasi TikTok, dan sedang/pernah menjalin hubungan romantis dalam 6 bulan terakhir. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu multiple linear regression melalui bantuan softwear IBM Statistical Package for the Social Science 27 Ver. Kepuasan hubungan diukur menggunakan Relatioship Satisfaction Scale dari Hendrick (1988), penggunaan media sosial diukur dengan Uses and Gratifications Social Networking Sites oleh Trevino, Morton, Robles (2014), serta social media jealousy diukur melalui Social Media Jealousy Scale dari Krishnan & Chandini (2024). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial dan social media jealousy dapat memprediksi kepuasan hubungan secara simultan sebesar 3% dan parsial dengan arah pengaruh 0,077 dan -0,72 secara berurutan. Kata Kunci: Kepuasan Hubungan, Penggunaan Media Sosial, Social Media Jealousy, Dewasa Awal, TikTok, Hubungan Romantis ***** This research aims to investigate how social media use and social media jealousy influence relationship satisfaction among emerging adulthood who is actively using TikTok and are involved in romantic relationships. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The final dataset of 407 respondents aged 18-40 years, who were TikTok users, and had been involved in a romantic relationship within the past six months. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS version 27. Relationship satisfaction was measured using the Relationship Satisfaction Scale by Hendrick (1988), social media use was measured using the Uses and Gratifications Social Networking Sites by Trevino, Morton, and Robles (2014), and social media jealousy was measured using Social Media Jealousy Scale by Krishnan & Chandini (2024). Result showed that both predictors accounted for 3% of the variance in relationship satisfaction, with social media use (β=0,077) and social media jealousy (β=-0,72).
