Abstract

MUHAMAD RAYHAN ZAKY. Pengaruh Penerapan Metode Penemuan Terbimbing Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Berdasarkan Disposisi Matematis Siswa SMP Negeri Di Kecamatan Ciracas. Tesis. Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Jenjang Magister Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Februari 2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis berdasarkan disposisi matematis siswa SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Ciracas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 106, Kecamatan Ciracas, Kota Jakarta Timur. Materi yang diajarkan adalah Relasi dan Fungsi pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 88 siswa kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi experiment (eksperimen semu) dengan posttest-only control design dan design treatment by level 2x2. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas angket disposisi matematis dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan metode penemuan terbimbing lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional. (2) Terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan disposisi matematis terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. (3) Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan metode penemuan terbimbing lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tinggi. (4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis antara siswa yang belajar dengan metode penemuan terbimbing dan metode konvensional pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis rendah. The Effect Of Applying The Guided Discovery Method To The Ability Of Mathematical Concept Understanding Based On The Mathematical Disposition Of Junior High School Students. Thesis. Study Program of Mathematics Education Level Magister, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, State University of Jakarta, February 2020 This study aims to determine the effect of applying the guided discovery method to the ability to understand mathematical concepts based on the mathematical disposition of state junior high school students in Ciracas Sub-district. The study was conducted at 106 State Junior High School, Ciracas Sub-district, East Jakarta. The material taught is Relationships and Functions in odd semester for academic year 2019/2020. The samples in this study were 88 students of class VIII. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental) with posttest-only control design and design treatment by level 2x2. The instrument used consisted of a mathematical disposition questionnaire and a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The results showed that: (1) The ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who were given learning by the guided discovery method was higher than students who were given learning by conventional methods. (2) There is an interaction between learning methods and mathematical disposition of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. (3) The ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who are given learning by the guided discovery method is higher than students who are given learning by conventional methods in groups of students who have a high mathematical disposition. (4) There is no difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts between students learning with the guided discovery method and conventional methods in groups of students who have a low mathematical disposition.
