Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fear of failure dan conformity terhadap academic dishonesty berbasis penyalahgunaan artificial intelligence pada mahasiswa di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantiatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan convenience sampling. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 405 responden mahasiswa yang berusia 17-32. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Academic Dishonesty Scale (ADS) yang dikembangkan oleh Bashir & Bala (2018), Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI) yang dikembangkan oleh (Conroy, 2002), dan The Conformity Scale (TCS) yang dikembangkan oleh (Mehrabian & Stefl, 1995). Hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan nilai Sig. < 0,05 dan besarrnya R Square adalah 0.108. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa fear of failure dan conformity secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap academic dishonesty berbasis penyalahgunaan AI sebesar 10,8%. Secara parsial, fear of failure berpengaruh positif terhadap academic dishonesty, begitu pun dengan conformity, berpengaruh positif terhadap academic dishonesty. ***** This study aims to examine the influence of fear of failure and conformity on academic dishonesty based on the misuse of artificial intelligence among university students in Indonesia. The research employed a quantitative approach with a convenience sampling technique. A total of 405 student respondents aged between 17 and 32 participated in the study. The measurement instruments used were the Academic Dishonesty Scale (ADS) developed by Bashir & Bala (2018), the Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI) developed by Conroy (2002), and The Conformity Scale (TCS) developed by Mehrabian & Stefl (1995). Multiple regression analysis showed a significance value (Sig.) of less than 0.05 and an R Square value of 0.108. This indicates that fear of failure and conformity jointly have a significant influence on academic dishonesty involving the misuse of AI, accounting for 10.8% of the variance. Partially, both fear of failure and conformity were found to have a positive influence on academic dishonesty.
