Abstract
***** This study aims to examine the role of self-esteem as a moderator in the influence of social comparison and career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) on final-year university students who use LinkedIn. This study employs a quantitative design with a survey approach, involving 219 active students currently in their 8th semester or higher, aged between 21 and 25 years, and who are LinkedIn users. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The instruments used included the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale (Indonesian Version), the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM), and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). Data analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of the analysis showed that self-esteem significantly moderated the influence of social comparison and CDMSE, with a moderation contribution of 34%. These results indicate that self-esteem plays a role in weakening the influence of social comparison on CDMSE. Therefore, efforts to enhance self-esteem, such as through training or self-development programs, can serve as a strategy to strengthen the confidence of final-year students in their career decision-making.
