Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Round Robin. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan sosial siswa, seperti kurangnya kerja sama, empati, asertivitas, dan pengendalian diri saat berdiskusi kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus pada siswa kelas V-A SDN Kebon Jeruk 04 Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Round Robin dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan jumlah siswa yang memperoleh skor keterampilan sosial ≥70 dari 55,56% pada siklus I menjadi 85,19% pada siklus II. Rata-rata aktivitas guru juga meningkat dari 82% menjadi 97,3%, sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 72,3% menjadi 89%, yang menunjukkan keterlibatan yang semakin optimal selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, siswa mulai aktif menyampaikan pendapat, bekerja sama, serta menunjukkan sikap saling menghargai dan tidak mendominasi diskusi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Round Robin terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran IPS. The background of this research is the low level of students’ social skills, such as lack of cooperation, empathy, assertiveness, and self-control during group discussions. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles involving fifth-grade students of SDN Kebon Jeruk 04, West Jakarta. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, field notes, and documentation, and analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that the Round Robin cooperative learning model effectively improved students’ social skills. This is evident from the increase in the number of students who achieved a minimum social skills score of ≥70, rising from 55.56% in Cycle I to 85.19% in Cycle II. The average teacher activity also increased from 82% to 97.3%, while the average student activity rose from 72.3% to 89%, indicating greater engagement and participation throughout the learning process. Furthermore, students became more active in expressing opinions, collaborating, and showing mutual respect without dominating the discussion. Based on these findings, the Round Robin cooperative learning model is proven to enhance the social skills of elementary school students in Social Studies learning.
