Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Program Zero Waste dalam Manajemen Lingkungan Sekolah. Sub fokus penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan prinsip reduce, pelaksanaan prinsip reuse, pelaksanaan prinsip recycle dan faktor pendukung serta penghambat pada implementasi program zero waste dalam manajemen lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2024 hingga Maret 2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, ketua tim adiwiyata/pokja pembinaan lingkungan sekolah sehat, ketua sekolah sehat, ketua pokja bank sampah, ketua pokja kantin sehat dan peserta didik. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan prinsip reduce di SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta diterapkan dengan cara membuat peraturan kepada semua warga sekolah untuk membawa botol minum dan tempat makan masing masing dan membuat peraturan ketika jam istirahat semua peserta didik tidak diperbolehkan makan dan minum di dalam kelas. Selanjutnya pelaksanaan prinsip reuse di SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta diterapkan dengan cara menggunakan kembali sampah atau barang bekas yang sudah tidak terpakai untuk dibuat menjadi barang bermanfaat seperti vas bunga, pot tanaman, kursi dan tempat sampah. Kemudian pelaksanaan prinsip recycle di SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta diterapkan dengan cara membuat pupuk kompos dari sampah daun-daun kering dan membuat eco enzim dari kulit buah-buahan yang diolah. Adapun faktor pendukung yang ditemukan yaitu terjalinnya komunikasi dan kordinasi yang baik dari semua pihak yang terlibat. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu masih kurangnya kesadaran yang tinggi dalam mendukung dan mensukseskan implementasi program zero waste di SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta. The sub-focus of this study is the implementation of the reduce principle, the implementation of the reuse principle, the implementation of the recycle principle and supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the zero waste program in school environmental management. This study was conducted from August 2024 to March 2025. The method used in conducting this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and documentation studies. Informants in this study included the principal, the head of the Adiwiyata team/healthy school environment development working group, the head of the healthy school, the head of the waste bank working group, the head of the healthy canteen working group and students. The study shows that the implementation of the reduce principle at SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta is implemented by making regulations for all school residents to bring their own drinking bottles and food containers and making regulations that during break time all students are not allowed to eat and drink in the classroom. Furthermore, the implementation of the reuse principle at SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta is implemented by reusing waste or used goods that are no longer used to be made into useful items such as flower vases, plant pots, chairs and trash cans. Then the implementation of the recycle principle at SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta was implemented by making compost from dry leaf waste and making eco enzymes from processed fruit skins. The supporting factors found were the establishment of good communication and coordination from all parties involved. While the inhibiting factor was the lack of high awareness in supporting and succeeding the implementation of the zero waste program at SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta.
