Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengenalan kosakata menggunakan media buku cerita bergambar pada anak usia 5–6 tahun di Rumah Aruna Serpong. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif studi kasus dengan pendekatan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menerapkan pembacaan buku cerita bergambar yang dipadukan dengan gerakan motorik untuk memperkuat daya ingat dan pemahaman anak. Faktor pendukung meliputi antusiasme anak, penggunaan gerak, dan sinergi antar guru, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi kesulitan guru dalam mengingat isi buku dan rendahnya fokus sebagian anak. Proses pemerolehan kosakata berlangsung melalui tahapan pengenalan, penguatan, dan pemaknaan, yang menunjukkan efektivitas pendekatan multimodal dalam meningkatkan perbendaharaan kata pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan metode literasi awal yang menyenangkan dan adaptif. ***** This study aims to describe the vocabulary recognition strategy using picture storybook media for children aged 5-6 years at Rumah Aruna Serpong. The method used is a case study qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation approaches. The results showed that teachers use picture storybook media combined with motor movements as a medium to strengthen children's memory and vocabulary understanding. Supporting factors in this process include children's enthusiasm, the use of movement, and synergy between teachers, while inhibiting factors include the teacher's difficulty in remembering the contents of the book and the low focus of some children. The process of vocabulary acquisition takes place through the stages of recognition, reinforcement, and meaning, which shows that the multimodal approach is effective in increasing vocabulary in early childhood. This study provides important implications for the development of early literacy methods that are fun and adaptive to children's development
